Angie Adkin, recipient of
the Feay Earthwatch scholarship will share her experience in the Tarangire. She
spent 10 days observing zebras, wildebeests, and giraffes in the most beautiful
bush. Each morning she would wake before sunrise, eat a delicious
breakfast, and hit the road in search of the animals in order to take
photographs and behavioral observations. The research area extended
outside the Tarangire National Park, so she was able to see a lot of historical
ungulate migratory routes. Come and learn about her experience and how you
could take a similar volunteer vacation with Earthwatch. The objective of this
project is to develop
strategies to conserve large mammal migrations throughout East Africa. Angie
will also present her pictures and adventure at the Poster Session on Feb. 22.
